Well that was easy.

Zach Braff's Kickstarter campaign for his "Garden State" follow-up "I Wish I Were Here" has cruised past its goal of $2 million after less than a week. Braff took to Twitter to thank his supporters saying, "Dear Fans, I cannot believe your unbelievable support for WIWH. I wish I could hug each and every one of you."

Braff's Kickstarter follows in the wake of the smash "Veronica Mars" movie campaign which pulled in $5,702,153 from 91,585 backers. It was the fastest project to reach $1 million (4 hours), the fastest project to reach $2 million (11 hours), the all-time highest funded film project on Kickstarter, and the most backers ever. "I Wish I Were Here" isn't quite the rousing record-breaker that "Mars" was, but it's easily cleared its goal and is officially in smooth-sailing territory.

"Sabrina the Teenage Witch" actress Melissa Joan Hart launched a Kickstarter as well to fund the film "Darci's Walk of Shame," also looking to earn $2 million. With 26 days to go, it's made $43,741.

As of this writing, "I Wish I Were Here" has netted over $2.1 million with over 31,000 backers. The campaign ends on May 24. Tim Heidecker does not like it.
