Do heavily made-up and airbrushed magazine pics make you feel bummed out about yourself? That's why Demi Lovato is happy to be posing without makeup for People's Most Beautiful issue, which is out now.

Ms. Lovato Tweeted:

Her link takes you to a behind the scenes vid of the photo shoot. We see Demi striking poses for the photographer, but she also talks to the camera about what's going on. Makeup is def brought up in this singer-to-camera convo, and Demi reveals that makeup really isn't a big deal.

"When I'm not working, I wear as minimal of makeup as possible," she said. "Sometimes I just go without."

Some people feel as if they're not beautiful unless they wear makeup, but Demi can kick that belief to the curb. "When I don't have makeup on, I feel confident," she said. Because homegurl knows that real beauty comes from the inside. The "X-Factor" judge also talks a bit about how she takes care of her skin, but it's her words on confidence that really stick out.

And while we think the "Heart Attack" singer looks great in her photo shoot, we're waaaay more psyched about her kind heart and her mission to show inner beauty and bring out self-confidence. Things like helping Free the Children, sending love to Texas after the West explosion, and selling her clothes for charity show beauty way more than makeup.
