Photo: (YouTube/One Billion Rising) Carrie Ann Inaba recently Tweeted about One Billion Rising, a campaign to stop violence against women. But it's not just women getting involved -- it's key that guys represent for the campaign, and One Billion Rising shows this with their new video, "Man Prayer." There are approximately 3 billion women worldwide, and the beyond-disturbing reality is that one in three women will be sexually or physically assaulted at some point during her life. That's one billion women, total. In the video below, men come...

Hey, Channing. You might want to be careful. We've seen the previews for "Side Effects," the upcoming movie from director Steven Soderbergh, and the new clip from the movie, exclusively on MTV News, and Rooney Mara is acting strangely. It's almost as if she's up to something. Well, we warned him. Anyway, as we just explained to Channing Tatum, that's an exclusive clip from "Side Effects" up above, and we're pretty excited about it. It comes from Soderburgh and Scott Z. Burns, who last teamed up on the underrated "Contagion." In...

This is it. We mean it this time. We have reached the finals of MTV's ultimate competition to determine the most anticipated movie of 2013. It comes down to two of YA's most popular series, "The Hunger Games" and "The Mortal Instruments." In terms of the Movie Brawl, "Catching Fire" is the returning combatant looking for revenge after a bitter defeat last year, and "City of Bones" is the young hot shot out to prove itself in the film world. Considering how close the last round was, you'll want to start voting early and often for the finals,...

Photo: (Getty Images) The Sundance Film Festival is winding down, and what better way to end my trip by covering the "A.C.O.D" premiere -- one of my fave nights of the entire festival! Journalists prepped in a frenzy, publicists ran around, and the energy in the room as we waited for the phenomenal cast (Jessica Alba! Amy Poehler! Jane Lynch! Adam Scott!) was immense. And I was in the middle of it. There was so much I wanted to ask them about: Jessica's new book, her fab business The Honest Company, Amy's recent...

Photo: (YouTube/WIGS) My favorite "Pretty Little Liar," Troian Bellisario, had an interesting jinx of sorts with Defense Secretary Leon Panetta on Wednesday. You see, while Panetta made history by lifting the military's ban on women in combat, Troian announced via her Twitter that she would resume work on her WIGS series, "Lauren." WIGS is a YouTube channel featuring scripted dramas with female leads. Bellisario, and her co-star, Jennifer Beals, are just some of the stars lending their talents to the channel; other names include Julia Stiles...

To create a realistic scene of a pilot guiding an airliner safely to the ground—expect, you know, upside down—Denzel Washington trained in a professional flight simulator. A featurette included on the upcoming Blu-ray and DVD of "Flight" gives the audience an intimate look at the kind of training Washington did to prepare for the role of Whip Whitaker by joining his co-star Brian Geraghty as he revisits the flight simulator he trained on as well. MTV News has an exclusive look at the featurette above. Keep your eyes out for "Flight"...

We're still trying to figure out what to make of "Upside Down." The film comes from Argentinian director Juan Diego Solanas, stars Kirsten Dunst and Jim Sturgess, and seems to have a visual premise that would put visionary directors like Christopher Nolan or the Wachowskis to shame. But is it too much to handle? That's still left to be determined. The movie, which Solanas also wrote, tells the story of two twin planets that have polar gravity and hang opposite one another. Judging by this trailer, the planets come so close at points that people...

It looks like we finally have a director for "Star Wars: Episode VII," and it seems to be J.J. Abrams. We've dissected the questions we have, the potential look of the film, and Abrams' "Star Wars" love affair over at MTV News, but as psyched as we are about the prospect, we're having a hard time getting a different Abrams property out of our heads. Let's see if we can explain this to you. We're going to start describing "Star Wars" and then let's see what happens. So in "Star Wars," there's this beautiful woman and she's on the run, but...

Photo: (Aid Still Required) Adam Levine might be spending this Saturday night live from New York, but it's clear his heart is with the people of Haiti. He's no stranger to lending his talents to a good cause, but he's taking his support to the next level by helping Haiti's earthquake victims. Even though it's been three years since the devastating earthquake just off the coast of Port-au-Prince, Haiti still needs our help. For those a little hazy on the details, here's what the earthquake meant for the country: more than 230,000 people died...

By Hannah Soo Park Joaquin Phoenix and Paul Thomas Anderson might be the next big actor-director duo, Kate Winslet is eyeing Vernoica Roth's "Divergent," Reese Witherspoon might be lining up a Sudan drama, and Chris Hemsworth could be headed to the seas—all in today's casting call! Joaquin Phoenix and Paul Thomas Anderson Together Again? Following their work together on "The Master," Joaquin Phoenix and Paul Thomas Anderson are looking to team up again for the director's film adaptation of Thomas Pynchon's "Inherent Vice." The Hollywood Reporter...

Photo: (Twitter/@MileyCyrus) At Chez Cyrus, the pets are fam. Miley Cyrus is big on helping out animals (while giving her own pets babies lots of love) and she wants you to join her in protecting our furry friends. A great way to help out pets is to adopt ones that need homes (if you're in a situation where you're able to provide for them, of course!). Miley Tweeted a ridiculous adorable puppy in need of a home: Beans adorable little brothers REALLY need homes. @spotrescuedogs look at that face ❤❤❤ twitter.com/MileyCyrus/sta…— Miley Ray Cyrus...

In the weeks leading up to his gig as the host of the Academy Awards, it seems that Seth MacFarlane is getting in some practice spoofing classic films ahead of his big night. The latest Oscars promo puts a spin on the iconic shower scene from Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho." MacFarlane, obviously, is the annoyed next door neighbor. Since so much of "Family Guy" depends on bizarre riffs on classic movies and TV, it's not hard to imagine that's the angle MacFarlane will take on his comedic pieces for the ceremony. How are you feeling about MacFarlane...

Photo: (IMDB) For months, the buzz around "Lovelace" has been making headlines coast-to-coast, but at last -- it finally premiered this week to a packed audience at the Sundance Film Festival! Luckily I was able to catch a screening of the lovely film, and it did NOT disappoint. Amanda Seyfried plays the role of Linda Boreman (or "Linda Lovelace"), a pornographic actress starring in one of the most successful sex films ever made. It's the story behind her personal journey that will leave any moviegoer fascinated. And...

Photo: (MTV) Andrew Jenks knows a thing or two about giving back. He's also extremely hot, but that's besides the point. From a critically acclaimed documentary about the elderly at an assisted living facility to his MTV series "World Of Jenks," Andrew uses his voice -- and camera -- to tell inspiring tales of the often overlooked. Many of you Tweeted us your 2013 resolutions and mentioned wanting to give back more. So, as part of our #2013resolution series, we recently spoke to Andrew about why giving back is important to him, and how you...

Ashton Kutcher's Steve Jobs biopic, which is closing this year's Sundance Film Festival, has yet to screen in Park City, but the very first clip from "jOBS" has hit the web, courtesy of Entertainment Tonight. The clip shows Kutcher as the Apple founder trying to convince Josh Gad as Steve Wozniak that his idea is something they can develop together and sell to everyone. (As if that will ever catch on!) Check out the first clip from "jOBS" after the jump! As one of the highest profile premieres at Sundance this year, the biopic already...
