At 29, Congressman-Elect Murphy will be the youngest member of Congress when he takes office in January as the Representative for Florida's 18th District. He fought a tough campaign against Representative Allen West, with West's campaign not conceding until two weeks after the election....

Movie rumors fly around the internet every single day, but it's the ones that actually do come true that keep us entertaining these online conspiracy theories. With 2012 being such a big year for superhero movies, the hearsay and scuttlebutt were especially abundant and even more addicting. Who the hell is John Blake? Is Loki really the only bad guy in "Avengers"? The rumors kept coming, and some of them ended up sticking. These were the best true rumors of 2012. The Xenomorph Shows Up In "Prometheus" Ridley Scott's return to genre film...

Photo: (Getty) Things we know about Lil Wayne. He loves: jeggings, singing "Young moola baby," watching professional sports and getting on a skateboard. Oh and about that skateboarding, he's all about giving back when he gets on a board! Y'all think that Angelina Jolie and Oprah are helping kids but so is Weezy! And he's doing it in a pretty awesome way. Wayne recently worked with Stoked, a super fun youth mentoring program and enlisted the help of 10 teens to help him create a commercial. SERIOUSLY. They created a TV commercial for Wayne's...

By Hannah Soo Park Sometimes, an actor's willingness to nail a role is so extreme, that their "method" manages to overshadow any hype surrounding the film itself. From adapting bizarre on-set behaviors to drastically altering their appearances, recently, we've seen an influx of stars take "getting into character" a bit too far. Here, we break down a few recent tales of method acting that have caused us to raise our eyebrows and wonder if all of the fuss is in the name of brilliance or just sheer madness -- and it looks like we're not just...

Andy Serkis' Gollum in "The Lord of the Rings" and now "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" has often been praised as the gold standard that all CGI characters should be measured against, but while he might best the greatest, the schizophrenic creature certainly wasn't the first. One of the very first fully-CGI characters was none other than the much maligned Jar Jar Binks. In an historic event (and thanks to MTV News' Josh Horowitz), Gollum and Jar Jar were able to have a short conversation during a recent press junket for "The...

Photo: (Getty) Another reason having three Jonas Brothers is better than one: more holiday cheer to spread at once! Kevin, Nick, and Joe Jonas stopped by Children's Hospital LA yesterday to visit its young patients for the holidays. During the visit, the heartthrobs even took time to perform! Seems like forever since these three have performed like the good ol' days. Good news though: the JoBros revealed recently that they are working on new music, some of which they've already been performing. They performed...

Photos: (Getty) mtvU has announced it's 2012 Man and Woman of the Year: singer-songwriter Frank Ocean, and 15-year-old Pakistani social activist Malala Yousafzai. Both are young boldly challenging the norm in their respective communities. When Grammy-nominated Frank Ocean confirmed in an open letter on his Tumblr about loving another man -- a part of his identity he fully embraced in his debut project -- he risked losing the support of fans and peers in the often-homophobic hip-hop and R&B communities. Instead, he gained tremendous...

"Django Unchained" is still weeks away from hitting theaters, but Quentin Tarantino is already talking about his future projects. At a Q&A after a recent BAFTA screening of the movie in London, Tarantino revealed that he'd one day like to film a gangster movie set in the 1930s. "I could conceive maybe someday doing a 30's gangster picture, or something like that. I could think of doing another western, actually," he said according to Bleeding Cool. This isn't the first time Tarantino has mentioned that project. In 2009, Variety reported...

In the post-tumblr world, there is a new standard for movie longevity. Your film has to be GIF-able. We broke down the ten most GIF-able scenes from movies in 2012, and you can check them all out after the jump! Share your most GIF-able moments in the comments below and on Twitter! ...

By Hannah Soo Park A few official stills and on-set paparazzi shots are the only glimpses we've been given of Sofia Coppola's fourth directorial effort, "The Bling Ring," since it began filming earlier this year. And today, we're getting a little bit more to buzz about. French magazine Premiere recently published a few promo snapshots of star Emma Watson's "Bling Ring" character, Nicki, sitting in a teenager's bedroom and scrutinizing her reflection as she wears (stolen?) black dress. Previous photos from the film feature the whole gang, dressed...

While the trailers for the romantic comedy "Playing For Keeps" do a fine job of selling the film's romancey-ness and its star-studded cast, which includes Gerard Butler, Jessica Biel, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Uma Thurman and Dennis Quaid, it's not all about the lovey-dovey stuff. There's also "crazy" action involved, though the type of action to which we're referring is not about fancy gadgetry, pyrotechnics or speeding cars. It's about soccer. More specifically, child actors playing soccer. When MTV News caught up with seasoned action...

We may still have a week to go before "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" hits theaters, but in the world of movie marketing, it's time to get excited about the trilogy's third installment "There and Back Again" right now! On the same night as the New York premiere of "An Unexpected Journey," Entertainment Weekly released a photo that many assumed was a simple mistake. The magazine claimed that the shot of Orlando Bloom as Legolas and Luke Evans as Bard the Bowman they released online came from "There and Back Again," the former title of the...
