She might have had #NerdProm this weekend, but Sophia Bush still managed to find the time to visit with wounded soldiers at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. We're not sure they award prom queen at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, but we're declaring the title Sophia's anyway.
For those who don't know, The Nation's Medical Center is "one of the nation's largest and most renowned military medical centers." The medical center works to "serve military families and our nation's active duty, returning war heroes, veterans and our Nation's leaders."

Underneath the photo posted to her Instagram account, Sophia wrote that she "had the most inspiring time visiting with the #WoundedWarriors at Walter Reed in DC." She said that it was incredible "seeing these young men who have lost limbs & suffered unimaginable pain, yet are in high spirits…What resilience. What passion." She goes on to say that she is "so humbled, and so grateful for their service."
Fans of her work on television might recognize the actor as the woman who will always be Brooke Davis in our "One Tree Hill"- loving hearts, but it's important to mention that Sophia is a self-proclaimed "global citizen" who is extremely passionate about giving back to her favorite causes. This week alone Sophia (And me!) are taking the Live Below the Line challenge and pledging to live on just $1.50 a day for food and drinks to raise awareness about those living in extreme poverty around the world.
