DJing is a fun way to pass the time (and some make lucrative careers out of it), but DJ Pauly D shows that it can also be a good way to help someone out. Next month the "Jersey Shore" roommate will be taking part in a charity event to help the Newtown Connecticut Youth And Family Services, which in turn is helping those affected by the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
The DJ with a mission Tweeted:

Regular tix go for $50 and VIP tix are $125, and proceeds go straight on over to a good cause. While news on Newtown has slowed down in the months since the school shooting, Pauly is helping to make sure what happened is not forgotten. (This might be a good time to give a shoutout to Jamie Foxx, who used the 2013 MTV Movie Awards as an opportunity to honor the victims and keep them in our hearts and minds.) Even though the shooting might not be headlining on the news, it's still a painful event, and the people in the Newtown area still need time, healing and support.
We first wrote about the Newtown Connecticut Youth And Family Services in our article "6 Ways to Help Sandy Hook Victims," and the services are def. still up and running. Therapy is offered for anyone seeking it out, and services for issues beyond the Sandy Hook shooting are also available. With this DJ charity event, Pauly D gets to do what he loves...and we love that he's doing something to help others.
