In the months since the announcement of "Star Wars: Episode VII," Carrie Fisher has seemingly made a habit out of trolling fans eager for updates about the J.J. Abrams film. The return of Fisher, Mark Hamill, and Harrison Ford is, by this point, an assumption many are making, but without an official announcement from Disney, we're left to decode cryptic and often confused statements from the cast.
Fisher made her latest quasi-confessional at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo as she spoke with some diehard "Star Wars" fans.
Much like the statement Fisher gave to Palm Beach Illustrated in March, she didn't seem to think much of it when she, according to the Calgary Herald, hinted to the crowd that she is reprising her role as Princess Leia.
"I'm glad they are doing a new movie because they are sending a trainer to my house so I can get in really good shape," she said. "So I'm really eating a lot of sugar in advance, as you can see. By the time I really get down to it I will have eaten everything."
So where does this leave us, Ms. Fisher? By now, it's essentially a forgone conclusion that, at the very least, Fisher will be back. She seems to have no problem with admitting that Disney wants her back and that she has made some sort of agreement to return.
But when will we get the official word from Disney? The coming months hold both D23 and San Diego Comic-Con, so keep an eye on those events for some more serious movement.
"Star Wars: Episode VII" is expected to hit theaters in 2015.
