If you have HBO, you probably spend Sundays parked in front of your TV waiting for Hannah, Marnie, Shoshanna and Jessa to grace the screen. On last night's "Girls," we watched as Hannah dealt with her Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which her portrayer, show creator Lena Dunham, has struggled with in real life.
The writer, actress, show runner and all-around awesome girl tweeted:
Really grateful for all your beautiful reactions to the OCD on tonight's girls. This site helped me as a young lady: ocfoundation.org

In the episode titled "It's Back," the audience learned Hannah is once again struggling with her OCD, manifesting in her fixation on counting and the number eight. Dunham, who plays Hannah, clearly pulled from her real-life experiences when writing the episode.
Dunham recently spoke to Rolling Stone magazine about her own battle with OCD, explaining, "I'd count eight times. … I'd look on both sides of me eight times, I'd make sure nobody was following me down the street, I touched different parts of my bed before I went to sleep."
We love that "Girls" isn't afraid to tackle issues like OCD. Rando fact: Hannah's (and Lena's) obsession with the number eight was represented in another way as well. Last night's episode was number eight in the show's second season.
As her tweet notes, Dunham turned to organizations like the International OCD Foundation when she was coping with the disorder as a young girl. If you or someone you know might be struggling with OCD, you can find resources on the organization's site.
