We all know that Hurricane Sandy did major damage to the state of New Jersey. "Restore the Shore" is concentrating on helping the area where "Jersey Shore" is filmed and is a great way to help the Garden State. If you'd also like to donate to a fund that helps the state as a whole, please check out the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund.

If you're like me, you're wondering how all the animals and pets affected by Sandy are doing. It will donate $10 to the Humane Society, which is the country's biggest animal protection org.

From the organizers of Occupy Wall Street comes Occupy Sandy. If you want to roll up your sleeves and personally volunteer with many other dedicated individuals, check out Occupy Sandy. You can fill out a registration form to volunteer, and the site updates you on what's needed. It'll let you know if specific areas especially need volunteers and what supplies are still needed and what they have enough of.

...Check Out The Red Cross.
The Red Cross is pretty much your go-to place for a natural disaster like this. Probably the easiest thing to do is text REDCROSS to 90999. That will donate $10 and funds get spread out across the area. The Red Cross says on its site that "a gift of any size supports the lifesaving mission of the American Red Cross," so don't feel bad if you can't give a lot. Every little bit counts.
