Just because "Half the Sky" is about empowering girls and women all over the world doesn't mean guys can't get in on the world-changing action too. Oscar-winning director Ben Affleck took to Twitter on Monday to show his support for the Half the Sky Movement: The Game.
The "Argo" director tweeted:
Proud to support the launch of @halfthegame. Play here: bit.ly/WrgFxQ

For those who need a refresher, Half the Sky Movement: The Game is a new Facebook adventure that lets players unlock and trigger donations for girls and women IRL. You see, $500,000 worth of donations has been provided by corporate partners and are unlocked by players simply by playing the game! Authors Nick Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn have partnered with Games for Change and other non-profits to make sure your time spent online is anything but wasted.
While celebs such as Olivia Wilda and America Ferrera have spoken out about their support of the game, we think Affleck's tweet proves this isn't just a "female" problem. Sure, we're trying to help girls and women all over the world, but when we lift up them, we're helping support entire communities (that means boys and men included) as well.
So even if you're not a girl, remember that you're holding up the other half of the sky! You can always donate to the cause to support its efforts or you can log on to Facebook today to help make a difference.
Do your part to hold up your half the sky and log on to your Facebook account and start playing.
