The second season of "Fashion Star" premieres tonight (8/7c on NBC) and Jessica Simpson and designer John Varvatos aren't just co-mentors on it. They're also working together to help victims of child sexual abuse.
The mom-to-be who is reportedly having a boy, Tweeted:

Stuart House is located at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center and is a program of the Rape Treatment Center that's specifically set up to help children. It's def a cause near and dear to John's heart: this month marks his tenth annual benefit for it! Like Jessica said, you can text to help, and if you've got some money to spare, you can also bid on special items at CharityBuzz. You can bid on a set visit to "Modern Family" or tickets to see Sky Ferreira perform (and meet her as well!)
Jessica might have initially gotten involved with this benefit because of her work with John. But since she's a mom to Maxwell (and the countdown to the second baby has begun!) you can see why she'd want to get involved with a program to protect kids. According to the Rape Foundation, one in four girls and one in six boys will be sexually abused before they turn 18. Stuart House makes sure its facility is child-friendly, knowing that any kid who needs their help has already gone through enough. Additionally, the program provides much-needed things like medical care and therapy.
The Rape Treatment Center is here to help victims, but it also works with education and prevention. If you or someone you know is in a situation where you need help, the Rape Treatment Center is here with advice, support and numbers for you to call.
