It feels like such a long time ago when we first heard that "Avengers" mastermind and doer of the impossible Joss Whedon got his friends together during a break from the realm of Marvel comics to film a low-budget adaptation of William Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing."
The film has since premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival to rave reviews, and we are now just a few months away from getting to see the Whedonesque comedy for ourselves.
The first trailer for "Much Ado" just went online over at Yahoo! Movies, but you can check it out right after the jump!
MTV News spoke with Whedon at TIFF, where he talked to us about bringing the words of the Bard to the screen. "When you're writing the words, you're looking for something from the audience. You're looking for a reaction," he said. "And you're doing the same thing when you're directing, you're doing the same thing when you're directing; you're just trying to connect. To have somebody else write the words is fine."
The film stars Whedon regulars Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Nathan Fillion, Clark Gregg, and Fran Kranz.
"Much Ado About Nothing" opens on June 7.
