It's the queen of country versus the queens of comedy! Taylor Swift has a few choice words for Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who poked fun at her love life while hosting the Golden Globes earlier this year.
I'd be honored if Tina and Amy told a joke about me, but Taylor isn't so happy about it. "There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women," she told Vanity Fair, borrowing a quote Katie Couric once shared with her. Could this be the meanest thing she's ever said (outside of a song)?!
Amy's response kept it funny as usual. "Aw, I feel bad if she was upset…she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff," she said. Even though Tina wrote "Mean Girls," let's skip the war of words and settle this with a good, ole fashioned charity-off!
+ Tina & Amy Sell Friendship For Charity
During Comedy Central's "Night of Too Many Stars" charity gala, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler auctioned off an evening of friendship to the highest female bidders. Two women jumped at the chance to be BFFs with the comediennes, donating a total of $72,000 to autism education programs. I once did the splits at a college date auction (I was very young, and had just discovered vodka…) and still only went for $200! Man, am I glad Instagram didn't exist then; I don't think my splits would have looked any classier in sepia.
+ Taylor Swift Sells Merch For Charity
The only thing Taylor Swift is always giving it up left and right is memorabilia. She's auctioned shoes, merch, and a whole lotta other swag for orgs like Soles4Souls, which puts shoes onto the feet of millions of kids around the world, and MusiCares, which helps struggling musicians in times of dire need. She was also named DoSomething.org's top "celeb gone good" of 2012 for her generous $4 million donation to the Country Hall of Fame Museum.
So which side are you on? Country or comedy? Support your favorite lady by taking action below, and be on the lookout for T. Swift's new song about the time Tina Fey and Amy Poehler made fun of her. Hahah. JAY KAY, TAY.
