In addition to our former rulers in the UK getting their hands on "Star Trek Into Darkness" a week early, there was a preview screening of the first 40 or so minutes in Brazil to make us jealous of people around the globe.

We're not going to spoil any of that here, but you can head over to Juado to find out more. If you'd like non-spoiler info about the upcoming sequel, J.J Abrams and Benedict Cumberbatch recently spoke about the film.

In his chat with Empire (via Collider), Abrams made clear that this so-called John Harrison isn't just a villain of the week. This is an entirely different monster than Eric Bana's Nero.

"[Nero] was just a raging, vengeful lunatic. All he wanted to do was destroy Vulcan, Earth and the Federation...He had backstory but was kind of irrational," Abrams said. "The beauty of Benedict's [John Harrison] is that he's completely rational. He's someone that you can have conversations with. You couldn't sit down and talk to Nero — he'd bite your head off!

If that wasn't enough, Cumberbatch spoke briefly about his costumes in the film, some of which are tight enough to highlight a certain part of the actor's physique.

"I did a lot of close combat training. He's a kick-ass warrior, as masterful with his hands and body as he is with weapons...You will have a great discovery during this film, which I think is great…[My costumes] look great. Some of them were (no pun intended) cumbersome and heavy, but some were very snug; you can almost see what religion I am..."

Well, that is interesting.
