It was a year ago when Kony 2012 exploded on the Internet and made the Lord's Resistance Army leader Joseph Kony the world's number one bad guy. But what happened since? Sophia Bush shared an update on what's going on.

The always philanthropic actress Tweeted:

When "Kony 2012" first came out, it stirred up passions and controversies. The biggest goal of the film -- catching Kony -- has not been realized, and Invisible Children's new short vid acknowledges this. However, Invisible Children points to progress that's been made in the past 365 days, like the fact that two of the top five commanders of the LRA are off the field.

Recently, President Obama also extended the Rewards for Justice Program, which is designed to capture people guilty of committing war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide. Finding and bringing Kony to justice isn't the only reason for this extension, but Human Rights First President and CEO Elisa Massimino said Kony is a key focus for the program.

Invisible Children knows how to pull at the heartstrings, so the vid doesn't just give facts. It also gives us a look inside the Invisible Children youth rehabilitation center and we get to meet a young boy named Daniel. He was abducted by the LRA when he was younger and lost both of his parents, but he's receiving love, care and an education now.
