In tonight's all-new episode of "Teen Mom 3" things really came to a head when Alex and Matt got into a fight that seemed to almost turn physical.
Alex and Matt aren't officially an item, but because they're living together and trying to raise their daughter Arabella, it doesn't feel like they're officially over, either. When Alex's friend Marina asks if they're together, Alex says, "I have no idea." They've been to therapy, but Alex is annoyed that Matt has been spending so much time with his friends. She's especially upset when she learns he's been talking to another girl online. Matt also has his gripes, and says that all Alex does is yell.
Tensions continue to rise throughout the episode, and they hit their peak toward the end. Alex and Matt start a yelling argument in front of Wendy and others. Matt gets in Alex's face and starts egging her on, daring her to hit him. She doesn't escalate to the physical violence he suggests, but anyone watching can see that their fights and tensions aren't healthy.
Here's an honest truth: all couples have disagreements and get annoyed at each other at times. But there's a difference between a disagreement and a screaming fight. Sometimes relationships can be helped through therapy, but if it's abusive, it's important to just get out. Physical abuse isn't okay, and neither is emotional abuse. Like Wendy says, communication and respect are both key parts of a healthy relationship. A happy relationship is a healthy one. Check out It's Your Sex Life for more.
