Today marks the 10th anniversary of the release of Outkast's hit single "Hey Ya," but rather than check our faces in the mirror for wrinkles (TEN YEARS?! WTF.), we're gonna distract ourselves from the fact that we're getting older too by celebrating all of the amazing things Big Boi and Andre "Ice Cold" 3000 are doin' in the world.

André 3000 is anything but the rapper stereotype...but you probably already knew that by looking at his clothes. "Ice Cold" became a vegan at 22, and was dubbed the "World's Sexiest Vegetarian" by PETA back in '04. "I actually made a huge turnaround after our first album ... I'd gone so hard the years before that I had to do something," he told Vibe. The "Hey Ya" rapper also said "Hell nah" to weed around the same time. "I actually looked in the mirror and saw myself deteriorating," he recalls.

Established in 2006, Big Boi's Big Kidz Foundation is all about exposing at-risk youth to art, business, and philanthropy. The org offers courses in communication, entrepreneurship, and even local, national and international travel and adventure that participants wouldn't otherwise be able to experience. "The efforts within this program will not only stress education, but will stress exposure to culture," said Big Boi in a statement about the org. "Creating, and having a positive contribution to the world we're living in, takes knowledge on another level; takes expression on another level, and I want to be a part of making that happen."
Big and Andre write prolific songs (10 more years from now, we'll still remember how to "shake it like a Polaroid picture"), but their lives outside of the studio are are what make them true "Prototype" celebrities. Follow the action widgets below to get down with the rappers' fave causes, and join us in wishing "Hey Ya" a happy 10th birthday!
