Today is a day to remember and honor those lost twelve years ago, and Twitter is full of hashtags like #911, #NeverForget and #Heroes. Celebrities are also taking part, and we've put together a list of some of their poignant tweets.
New Yorker Lady Gaga saw the Towers fall from her school, making this especially emotional and personal to her. She Tweeted:
12 years ago today Sept 11th. We Will Never Forget. Still remember the smoke in the sky. Saying lots of prayers for families who lost lives.
