And so on — it was a popular theme among big names yesterday! You might be saying, "I'll register to vote in 2016 – what's the point till then?" Well, there actually is a point. While you heard a lot about voting last year because of the presidential election, voting is going on this year, too. No, we're not picking the prez of the USA, but there are other elections going on that could affect you and your future. Elections and proposals always need to be voted on, so there's never a time to sit back and twiddle your thumbs when it comes to voting.
That's why Our Time, an org that helps young people flex their political muscles, is so serious about making sure Millennials are registered to vote. And if you missed National Voter Registration Day yesterday, no sweat — you can still register to vote. They make it reeeaaally super easy on their website, so if you're intimidated about registering, please don't be! With a few clicks, you can be all set to cast your ballots and help decide this country's future. And I vote that that's a great idea!
