September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, and two-time ovarian cancer survivor Diem Brown stars in a vid that shows how you need to stand up to all types of cancer.
The vid is being released by Stand Up To Cancer and it was filmed last year. While the footage isn't brand-new, the vid is just now being shared by SU2C and Diem. Besides, it doesn't matter how old the footage is, because the message will remain important.

Diem is sporting some pretty awesome hair in the video, and she reveals that because she knows it's going to fall out with chemo, she decided to have some fun with it (and she's even got words of encouragement on the left side of her head!).
"Stand Up To Cancer means so much to me because I'm ready for this thing to be over," she said. "I'm ready to find a cure, be done with this thing. And, you know, find a way to kind of get donations in there so the dream teams can find those cures. That really can happen. They did it for March of Dimes and polio."
She continued, "Everyone can be a part of fighting cancer and finding a cure for it."
Stand Up To Cancer puts on big events to earn money, and certain months bring attention and awareness to specific kinds of cancer. But you can donate any day of the week, because this is truly an ongoing campaign. Like Diem said, it is possible to find a cure -- we just need to all stand up!
