A "Jurassic Park" movie is never really about the people running from the dinosaurs as it is about those resurrected prehistoric beasties, but for "Jurassic World," the upcoming continuation of the series from director Colin Trevorrow, the first potential cast member has us caring a little more than usual.

According to TheWrap, perpetually underrated actress Bryce Dallas Howard is in early talks to star in "Jurassic World."

Though the trade site doesn't specify which role Howard is in talks to take, this is the first solid information we've received about the cast to the highly anticipated sequel.

The talk of Howard joining the cast is more good news for a project that could use it. Universal announced plans to continue the series with a new 2014 installment years ago and seemingly waited until the very last minute to hire Trevorrow as the director.

The "Safety Not Guaranteed" director began location scouting soon afterward, even tweeting out a picture caption Isla Nublar, the fictional location of the original "Jurassic Park," a place that has not be revisited since then.

Not long after that tweet, production was postponed indefinitely without public explanation. Thankfully, things started back up again recently with a brand new release date, June 12, 2015.
