What happens when you combine the star power of Oprah Winfrey, Robin Williams, Forest Whitaker, and a large cast that includes Academy Award-winning actors? You get the powerful new trailer for Lee Daniels' upcoming movie, "The Butler." The film follows Whitaker's character as he works as the White House's head butler during eight presidencies and highlights the struggle for civil rights during that time.

Whitaker's character in the movie is based off of the true story of Eugene Allen's 34 years working at the White House. "The Butler" shows the plight of those fighting for the civil rights of African-Americans during that time and includes a look at the Freedom Riders in the South as well as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s influence on the movement. Sadly, many people still experience racism today. The movie also serves as a reminder of the present-day struggle of domestic workers in the United States. Domestic workers often work without the basic labor rights afforded to other professionals.
