Arts education is often getting cut in schools, and Channing Tatum is saying OH HELL NO to that. The buff actor went on Twitter to let his 4.7 million followers know he appreciates the arts in school...and he's hoping you'll join him in this Twitter message!
The new dad Tweeted:
#ArtsMatter to me because they gave me a creative outlet.Inspire others to join the @LAFund in bringing #ArtsEd back: http://t.co/oH7aPDAUW7

Right now the Los Angeles Fund for Public Education is working to get more arts education in the Los Angeles Unified School District, and they're calling their campaign #ArtsMatter. "We all know that robust arts education develops in students the skills -- creativity, problem solving, communication -- they need for the jobs of tomorrow," the org explained. Um, it also gives people the creative potential to come up with a "Magic Mike" musical. Seriously, who isn't excited about that!
They're asking for donations, so that's one way to help support the arts. But if you can't afford to give, then Channing's got ya covered. If you click his link, it supplies you with a suggested Tweet you can send out: "#ArtsMatter to me because ______. Check out the @LAFund and what they're doing to revive #ArtsEd in our schools: www.lafund.org". You can fill in the blanks or rewrite it however you'd like. This will do wonders to spread awareness, and it might just help get kids more creative outlets in school. And that's something Channing can say OH HELL YES to.
