Our favorite soccer stud, Robbie Rogers, has no doubt had one wild year. From stepping down from soccer after publicly coming out, to making a massive comeback joining the LA Galaxy, we admire his courage and passion to use his voice to change the world.
We talked to him in LA last month about his campaign he is planning on launching, and we are excited to see him continue working hard on it. He took to his Instagram to upload a new photo where he is reppin a new Move BEYOND It badge.
According to their website, "Beyond 'IT' is a global platform of support for people and initiatives to invite our culture to move beyond the labels & stereotypes that limit us from reaching our full potential." I couldn't agree more! The past few days Robbie has been re-tweeting Tweets of fans who have purchased the Beyond "IT" shirts. He Tweeted, "For an amazing cause. Tweet me pics of your T and I'll repost them!"
Robbie exclusively told us last month that he wanted to do something, "bigger than me, and bigger than homophobia in sports." So, he decided to focus on homophobia, disabilities, racism, and sexism. When the campaign gets started under each category, there will be various charities that one can support and will rotate every six months. Fans then get on and vote for which one they want their money to benefit.
Although the campaign hasn't launched just yet, you can head head on over to their Facebook page to stay in the loop!
