Screams were heard across the world as Sway announced Mother Monster will be returning to the stage at this year's 2013 Video Music Awards. We are particularly excited over here at the Act office, as Lady Gaga has always represented the best of the best when it comes to repping that pro social life.
Here are 3 reasons we had a hard time keeping a poker face when we heard the news!
+ Gaga Was Born This Way, And Demands Equality For All.
Ever since she burst onto the scene, Lady Gaga has supported her LGBTQ fans. An outspoken marriage equality activist, she took the stage at the 2009 Human Rights Campaign rally in Washington DC, calling it "the most important moment of her career."
+ She Thinks All Bodies Are Revolutionary.

Gaga decided to open up about her ongoing struggle with anorexia and bulimia after being criticized for potentially gaining a little weight. She launched the Body Revolution 2013 campaign in September of 2012 with the aim of helping her "Little Monsters" celebrate their perceived flaws. "May we make our flaws famous," wrote Gaga, in an introduction to the Body Revolution. " Thus redefine the heinous." Gaga has always embraced the unique, and her powerful message along with this creative platform allowed her fans to show love for each other (and more importantly themselves) in a safe and open space.
+ She Gives Her All, And Then Gives It All Back.

Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation is killing it when it comes to their mission of creating a kinder, braver world. Since it was founded in 2011 by Gaga and her mother Cynthia, the foundation has made a major impact in the lives of countless young people in the world.
+ Now More Than Ever, We Could All Use A Little Gaga.
Real talk: It's been a rough year. While we've had great successes, we've also had some major hardships and setbacks. Gaga brings a particular brand of joy to the world, and her fans are some of the most devoted out there because she makes them feel like family. Her work ethic, and dedication to ARTPOP is a rare gift for all of us.
Welcome Back, Mother Monster!!
