Beyoncé always uses her star power to put "Love On Top." Days after showing some major love for Trayvon Martin, she invited three female survivors of the Boston Marathon bombings backstage at the Beantown stop of her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.
Mery Daniel, Adrianne Haslet, and Heather Abbott each lost a leg in the bombing, and have learned to walk again with prosthetics. In a series of videos, People magazine documents each woman's recovery process, and adjustment to life after the April tragedy. "Picking things up off the floor, getting food, things that I used to be able to do independently now I no longer can do," says Mery. Still, she and the other featured survivors totally "Run The World" with their strength and optimism.
