It's a boy! Prince William and Kate Middleton have welcomed their first child into the world -- an 8lb 6oz. baby boy who could someday take the British throne. As the world celebrates the good news, let's take a moment to highlight a couple of orgs that help children who aren't so fortunate.
+ March Of Dimes
Since 1970, March of Dimes has raised $2 billion to help mothers have healthy pregnancies and babies free from birth defects. Celebs like P!nk and Kelly Clarkson are all about the org, which encourages people to get involved by taking part in one of over 900 March For Babies walks happening around the country.
+ Give A Damn
LGBTQ youth make up an estimated 3% to 5% of the U.S. population, but up to 40% of the homeless youth population. More than 1 in 4 youth are thrown out of their homes after coming out to their parents, but it's Give A Damn's mission to end this! The campaign is for everyone, but was created specifically to teach straight people to Give A Damn about LGBTQ issues, and learn how to best support their peers.
