You text your BFF and you text your boo, but did you know you can text with the president? And this week you'll hear back!
The recent talk about student loan debt has many young people gulping, especially with the very real possibility of student loan interest rates doubling in a few days on July 1. President Obama has spoken out against high debts for students, and DoSomething.org hooked up with the White House to get young people more involved in the political process, especially when it comes to their education and finances.
So if you've got a question about student loans that you want POTUS himself to answer, text PREZ to 38383. You can send off your burning question, and each day this week one question will be chosen for President Obama to answer. He'll be texting his answers, and you can also keep up with his responses at DoSomething.org. For instance, Monday's chosen question was "What have you done and plan to do to lower student debt & tuition?" The prez answered, "We've expanded grants & tax credits, provided new options to manage debt and proposed incentives for colleges to keep costs down. More here: http://at.wh.gov/mlnUx."
It's not every day that Barry Obama might text you back, and right now is definitely the time to be talking about student loan debt. What would you like to ask about this issue? The president "asked" you to "Call (Him) Maybe," but this time he's telling you to text him definitely.
