Eva Longoria may be one of Hollywood's sexiest ladies, but gurrrrl is much more than just a pretty face! She is one passionate lady when it comes to education!
The actress just recently boarded a jet Colombia bound alongside New York Times columnist, Nicholas Kristof. He Tweeted, "Huge thanks to @EvaLongoria for coming to Colombia to shoot a PBS doc of our next book. Eva, you're a star in EVERY sense!"
During the trip, Eva helped young women learn trade skills, like sewing. The key to getting many countries out of poverty is by investing in women. Eva took to her Twitter account and Tweeted, "In Colombia at #Juanfe with @cataescobarr helping women learn trade skills they will use to break their cycle of poverty! She's sewing!"
BTW, Kristof is the author of one of my VERY favorite books, "Half The Sky", which explains the plight that women face across the world. Although we don't know many details just yet on the documentary, I can guarantee it will be so worth waiting for. As a budding journalist, the work of Nicholas has inspired me for many years.

Along with helping teach young women trade skills, Eva also met with teenage girls who are pregnant, and empowered teens moms in the slums of Cartagena, Colombia. Wow, what an inspiring and emotional trip this must've been. #EvaIsABadass
