The U.S. Supreme Court's historic overturning of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) has many couples planning their weddings, including actors Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard.
The couple has been engaged since 2009. They had a baby girl in March, but vowed not to tie the knot until marriage equality existed in the U.S. "The reason we're not rushing to get married is because I don't feel appropriate taking advantage of a right that's denied to my [gay and lesbian] friends. That's why we've been so hesitant," Kristen told The Advocate last year. "Dax and I have talked about it a lot, and this issue is very important to both of us. We're just standing up for what we believe in. Period."
Now that the Supreme Court has ruled the ban on same-sex marriage unconstitutional, Kristen and Dax may be ready to move forward with their own nuptials. "You're damn right DOMA is unconstitutional!! #equalitymatters," Tweeted upon hearing the news. She followed that tweet up by popping a pretty big question to Mr. Shepard:
.@daxshepard1 will you marry me? Xo #marriageequality #loveislove"

He responded pretty darn enthusiastically:
DOMA is dead. Prop 8 is dead. Now let's bring my big, gay marriage to @IMKristenBell to Life!!!!

Followed by an understandably enthusiastic, "F--k Yes!!!!!!!!!!!"
