It's #ThrowbackThursday, and chances are your Instagram feed is full of awkward, adorable, or awkwardly adorable pics of your friends and followers from back in the day. If your fave thing about Thursdays is celebrity throwbacks, we've got 'em for ya! Today: MTV's homegirl for life, Lauren Conrad.
Can you believe it's been almost ten years since we were first introduced to Lauren on "Laguna Beach"?! Since then, we've seen her grow from a teenager, surrounded by drama and bullying, into a strong, successful, and philanthropic fashion designer and businesswoman.
Although her second show, "The Hills," took place in hard-partying Hollywood, Lauren prefers to get naturally high. "The first time I can remember being aware of drug use around me was as early as sixth or seventh grade," Lauren revealed in a promo vid for the Natural High campaign. "I just genuinely didn't want to do them. It didn't seem that cool to me, and it didn't look that fun so I just never really had an interest."
Although song lyrics and videos often make drugs look and sound fun, there are a lot of harsh realities associated with taking, and even just experimenting with, them. 1 in 10 drug users will become addicts, and those who don't are still at risk of mental and physical damage, or even just doing somethin' stupid!
