Dustin's one of the most versatile actors out there, and one of his big deal movies was "Toostie," where he played a man playing a woman. In the vid Hayley shares (which has gone super viral) Dustin talks about getting prepared for the film. He wanted to make sure he could effectively pass as a woman, since the movie wouldn't work otherwise, and he asked his makeup artists to not only make him look like a woman, but a beautiful woman. When they told him, "that's as good as it gets" something became perfectly clear to him.
The revelation brought him to tears and he went to discuss it with his wife. "I think I'm an interesting woman when I look at myself on-screen, and I know that if I met myself at a party I would never talk to her, that character, because she doesn't fulfill, physically, the demands that we're brought up to think women have to have . . ." he told his wife.
In the vid, he goes on to talk about how brainwashed he'd been by society, and how many great women he'd missed getting to know because he had been trained to judge them by their looks. Working on "Tootsie," opened his eyes, and the emotion in the viral vid shows how deeply he's hurt by the way women are treated. But, like Hayley says, this also brings more hope for humanity. The fact Dustin's great message has gone so viral shows how many people agree with everything he says!
