Eminem is opening up about his drug addiction in a new, painfully and beautifully, honest documentary. In a YouTube promo clip, the "Love The Way You Lie" rapper explains how he lied to himself about his addiction to prescription drugs for years.
"I don't know at what point, exactly, it started to be a problem. I just remember liking it more and more," he says. This is exactly how it starts for the 1 out of 10 drug users who become addicts. Since 2,500 teens abuse a prescription drug for the first time every day, this means that 250 of them could become addicts!
Eminem's friends often questioned his drug use -- he sometimes even questioned it himself -- but it took a long time for him to come to terms with the fact that he was an addict. If you've ever had to question whether or not your own or a friend's drug or alcohol use is a problem, it might be.
