Kate Nash just dropped her third studio album, Girl Talk, so obvi we just had to sit down with the Brit singer for a little...well...girl talk. From music, to philanthropy, to why she doesn't date narcissists, we've got the dirt on what Kate cares about most.
"Girl Talk is totally different from my other two records," says Kate. "All of these songs had to come out of me to help me survive." Kate describes Girl Talk as deeper than her previous work saying it's "raw and honest, and sounds harsher than my other records."
Kate works with Plan's Because I Am A Girl campaign to empower girls around the world. "I can't wait to help give girls the opportunities they deserve and see them realize their full potential," she wrote to fans on her super chic website. This new breed of folks who are cool without even trying to be is really killing the years of hard work I've put in!
Speaking of hard work, Kate doesn't like guys who try too hard. "I've dated narcissists before, and it just gets really annoying after a while." I feel ya, sister! And while she wouldn't totally ditch a guy who doesn't volunteer, she does appreciate people who are passionate about helping others. "It's cool when someone is inspiring someone else -- willing to help someone else -- I think that's a really attractive quality."
