At the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, Coldplay won Best Rock Video with "Paradise," and now frontman Chris Martin is trying to give a little bit of paradise back to those fighting lupus.
Coldplay Tweeted this pic of Chris:

Chris is posing holding his hand in an L-shape as part of Running For Lupus's #LHandSign Lupus Awareness Campaign. Running For Lupus works to raise funds for research and spread awareness about lupus, an autoimmune disease where the immune system goes after healthy tissues instead of the harmful stuff it should be going after. There is no cure for lupus, but you can treat it to lessen the symptoms. It's estimated that five million people across the globe have lupus, and 1.5 million of them are living in America.
A lot of people have joined Running For Lupus to, of course, run for the cause. But if a marathon isn't for you, you can copy Chris and use your hand to help better the world. Yup, snapping a pic of your hand in an L-shape and using the hashtag #LhandSign to raise awareness among your followers -- because we'd all like a little more "Paradise" in the world.
