So far, "Transformers 4" has found two leading men, and now the latest update from the Autobots and the Decepticons pinpoints which city will get exploded over and over next. It appears that Detroit, Michigan is the next city on Michael Bay's hit list and is set for destruction in "Transformers 4."
The update comes from the Michigan Film Office (via ComingSoon) in the way of a press release about the filming location that includes a brief description of the plot.
There's definitely some "Terminator" influence in the set-up of the movie, and if you click past the jump, you can read the description and see if you share our option on what it all means.
As humanity picks up the pieces, following the conclusion of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Autobots and Decepticons have all but vanished from the face of the planet. However, a group of powerful, ingenious businessman and scientists attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control – all while an ancient, powerful Transformer menace sets Earth in his crosshairs. The epic adventure and battle between good and evil, freedom and enslavement ensues.
This just screams "Unicron," right?" "An ancient, powerful Transformer" isn't exactly a new concept for the series, but who cares about The Fallen? Don't be surprised if you see that classic Transformers baddie getting the Bay makeover when "Transformers 4" hits theaters in 2014.
