Founded in 1997, VH1's Save The Music Foundation aims to give every child access to music education regardless of their financial situation. Save The Music has provided $49.5 million in new musical instruments to 1,850 public schools around the nation, including PS/IS 180 in Harlem, where they donated acoustic and electric guitars to 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. The best way to get involved with Save The Music is to make a donation, attend an event, or become an advocate for music education.

The Grammy Foundation's Grammy In The Schools initiative offers youth camps and training, as well as rewards phenomenal teachers and music programs. Since its inception in 1989, the foundation has helped hundreds of thousands of children, and given millions in grants to U.S. music programs. Students can get involved by nominating their fave music teacher for an award, or applying for the foundation's Grammy Camp.
