Want a Sparknotes version of the excitement coming in the new "Fast and the Furious" movie, "Fast & Furious 6"? Well, you're in luck, because the latest TV spot released by Universal Pictures features all the high points from the movie.
There will be explosions. And a tank. And a crashing plane. And a partnership between Dom and Hobbs. And the return of Michelle Rodriguez. Oh, and there looks like there will be some awesome driving scenes along the way. Like we said, this 30-second teaser summarizes all we need to know about the movie to be interested in it in half a minute.
Still, these are the same plot points that have been teased repeatedly throughout "Fast & Furious 6's" marketing campaign. Our hope is that there are a few more layers of the movie that have yet to be seen. This TV spot might feature everything that is needed to get audiences in theaters — and that Rodriguez kicker at the end gets us every time — but this won't be as fun a movie as we hope it will be if we already know it beat for beat.
A recent featurette teased Rodriguez' return as Letty, and Diesel revealed that this movie acts as an origin story for that character. Rodriguez added, "She is on the wrong side of the tracks. She got mixed up with a crew of people in Europe that are doing heists and they're pretty hardcore."
"Fast & Furious 6" will hit theaters on May 24.
