A short while before the first trailer for Guillermo del Toro's "Pacific Rim" debuted, a few pieces of viral marketing hit the web to prepare us for the oncoming attack, but we have heard little of the Kaiju since then.
But this weekend, that ominous sound of monstrous footsteps started again.
This new photo of an enormous Kaiju footprint surfaced recently, and once again emphasizes just how big these creatures are going to be. When MTV News spoke with del Toro for a trailer commentary, this was arguably his main point.
"I wanted very much to show the scale. The whole movie is about scale. Literally, there are set pieces that are impossibly big," he said. "I wanted very much to have this image to show you what the tip of a nail of a Kaiju looks like."
"Pacific Rim" opens on July 12, and we can't freakin' wait.
