+ Drake Gets A GED
He may be a skilled lyricist, but do you know that Drake dropped out of high school to pursue an entertainment career? The rapper recently decided to Get Schooled, Tweeting, "97% on my final exam. 88% in the course. One of the greatest feelings in my entire life. As of tonight I have graduated high school!" 'Cause the only acronym more important than "YOLO" is "GED."
+ Katy Perry Gets Help
When Katy Perry's inner demons "Roar," she takes 'em straight to a therapist. "Obviously I've been through a lot of therapy since my last record," she recently told BBC Radio. Katy's nonchalant mention of the subject just goes to show that there's absolutely nothing wrong with seeking professional help if you're sad, or confused, or just want someone unbiased to talk to about life.
+ Elton John Gets Tested
The Elton John AIDS Foundation is all about raising funds and awareness for the fight against HIV/AIDS. One in two sexually active young people will get an STD by 25, so if you are sexually active, it is important to get tested regularly and always use protection!
+ J. Cole Gets Schooled
J. Cole is one of the most educated rappers in the game, gradating Magna Cum Laude from St. John's University back in '07 while rapping and playing varsity basketball. Now he's a spokesperson for Get Schooled, an org that encourages young people to finish high school and attend college.
+ Thirty Seconds to Mars Gets Dirty
Thirty Seconds To Mars frontman Jared Leto is a supporter of Global Dirt, an org that focuses on immediate responses after a natural disasters. Global Dirt volunteers provide medical assistance, communications access, and search and rescue efforts, often long before other emergency response teams hit the scene.
+ Ke$ha Gets A Kitten
When party girl and animal lover Ke$ha found a stray kitten in the alley behind a strip club, she adopted it, of course! That's SO Ke$ha. If you're looking to adopt a pet, but lap dances aren't your thing, try your local animal shelter.
+ Adam Lambert Gets Friendly
Adam Lambert is a spokesperson for The New F Word, a photo campaign and documentary film, about the only F-word that really matters: friend. "I took all that hate and judgment I received and channeled it into strength," Lambert said of being bullied. "Moving onward and upward, becoming who I am today. That's what resonated with the Friend Movement's New F Word Campaign. It's a rallying cry for channeling all that negative energy from bullies and critics and asserting it into fuel to always be true to yourself."
