David Beckham is stripping standing up for African elephants and rhinos! Although he may have spent last week hitting some Fashion Week shows, the 38-year-old stepped aside to fit in some charity work. COULD HE BE ANYMORE PERFECT?!
Last Thursday, the soccer babe joined Prince William in filming a video message for an upcoming PSA for WildAid, which aims at educating people on the dangers of ivory. Just thinking of the tuskless photos of rhinos and elephants makes me cringe in disgust.

When talking about David and Prince William's involvement, Wild Aid's executive director, Peter Knights, stated, "In the second message they show how all the rhinos left in the wild could fit inside just one soccer stadium." Crazy sad, right?
Western Black rhinos were one of the common animals poached for their ivory, and now considered extinct. Individual greed is driving out an entire species, all in the name of money. Here are three ways we can get started on creating change.
+ Educate ourselves on this issue.
+ Support conservation efforts.
+ Don't buy ivory! As WildAid says, "when the buying stops, the killing can too".
Supporting orgs like WildAid are a great way to make a difference. This particular PSA that Prince William, David Beckham, and former NBA star Yao Ming filmed will be available in China, come November, but I'm hoping we get to see it here in the states as well. When David was asked about the PSA, he said, "When I learned of the current poaching levels in Africa, I immediately agreed to help get this message out. It is shocking to think that we could lose these animals from the wild in our lifetimes."
We can't sit back and let this continue. Take action below and let your voice be heard.
