Season 5 of "Glee" kicks off next week with a two-part tribute to some of the best rockers of all time: The Beatles. Judging by Chord Overstreet's latest Instagram, the classic band and their modern day counterparts have a couple of awesome things in common: good looks and good lovin'.
+ "Glee" Promotes Diversity

"Glee" hosts one of the most diverse casts on television. It features people of differing races, classes, and sexual orientations, but presents them all as social equals. High school can be a cruel place where standing out isn't always applauded, but "Glee" teaches viewers to celebrate eachother's differences. Demi Lovato will be joining the cast this season as Santana's new love interest. We love how the show honors bisexual and lesbian relationships without stereotyping them in a girl-on-girl, frat boy fantasy kinda way.
+ The Beatles Knew Love Is Louder

"Glee" fans know all about the healing powers of music. Similarly, The Beatles were all about using their tunes to make the world a better place. Their hit songs "All You Need Is Love" and "Let It Be" taught love and acceptance, even in times of hatred and doubt. If The Beatles were still around, they'd no doubt join Love Is Louder -- a social media movement that encourages young people to stay positive in the face of bullying, violence, tragedy, and loss.
