Katy Perry is using Twitter to seriously plug her awesome new single "Dark Horse," and she gave her fans an important message while she was at it.

The roaring singer Tweeted:

Yes! Stay in school! "@CoolestKatyCat: @katyperry I MADE MY TEACHERS LISTEN TO #DarkHorse ARE YOU PROUD??!?!?!?"

While the main thrust of the Tweet is all about "Dark Horse," we love this little plug Katy gave about education. (Hey, playing music helps some people at their work, so why not blast Katy Perry music at school?!)

#Truth: being educated opens your horizons all over. And while receiving an education is something many people take for granted, (and I can't deny that early mornings can be a drag), education activist Malala has shown us not everyone has access to learn how to read, do math, and things like that. It kinda puts things in perspective.
