It looks like Alicia Keys isn't the only girl on fire! Like Keys, Deschanel took some time out of her insanely busy schedule to film a few videos for Makers, a site that profiles the women who have helped shape America into the country it is today. The "New Girl" star proudly admits to being a feminist saying, "I think that if you're a strong woman who wants to succeed, you have to be a feminist."
Deschanel goes on to say that she believes it is "our responsibility to create a world in which girls can grow up and not have to limit their dreams or possibilities." Given the work the actress and musician is doing with her site, HelloGiggles.com, a "positive online community" for women, we think Deschanel is definitely doing her job to create that world for girls.
