For the first time since 2005, Pixar will not be releasing a movie next year. That's because "The Good Dinosaur," the movie that was scheduled to be released in theaters on May 30, 2014, will now open in November of 2015, taking a release date away from "Finding Dori." The "Finding Nemo" sequel will now come out in the summer of 2016.

The future of "The Good Dinosaur" has been uncertain in recent weeks, and the pushed back release date seems to bring closure to the shaky period.

It was late last month when Bob Peterson, a co-director of "Up," was pulled of the his follow-up project, "The Good Dinosaur," by the Pixar higher-ups without a public explanation, other than that it's important to get a new set of eyes on a project sometime.

Now it appears that the big change up on "The Good Dinosaur" will cause it to miss its release date.

"Nobody ever remembers the fact that you slipped a film, but they will remember a bad film," Pixar president Ed Catmull said (via LA Times). "Our conclusion was that we were going to give the [dinosaur] film some more time."

Moving "The Good Dinosaur" to next November left "Finding Dori" without a release date, but it does leave the other 2015 Pixar movie, Pete Doctor's "Inside Out," untouched. It will be the first time that Pixar has released two movies in the same year.

The Next Pixar movie, "Inside Out," will hit theaters on June 19, 2015.
