When I grow up, I want to be Lena Dunham. "Girls" returns in January, and the thought of her brilliant writing gracing my TV will be the BEST late Christmas gift EVER. As if I couldn't love Lena more, what she recently did with Alex's Lemonade Stand was really pretty sweet.
Lena recently stepped out to support LA Loves Alex's Lemonade, an event where famous chefs come together for a cookout to raise funds to fight childhood cancer. Lena Tweeted,
The best day/cause! RT @AlexsLemonade: Thank you @lenadunham @iamgreenfield & @SusanFeniger for your amazing support! http://t.co/MBPWPgyKfV

Alex's Lemonade was launched back in 2000 by a 4-year-old cancer patient name Alex Scott, in the hope of finding a cure. When Alex was one, she was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a type of cancer that nearly 600 children are diagnosed with each year. Sadly, Alex passed away before she could see what a massive charity her tiny lemonade stand has grown into. Thirteen years later, Alex's Lemonade Stand has evolved into a giant fundraising movement, with thousands of supporters across the country.
With childhood cancer being the leading cause of death for children under 15, events like LA Loves Alex's Lemonade are so important! Make sure and watch the video of Lena and make a difference with Alex's Lemonade Stand!
