Demi Lovato has a super busy schedule, but she's clearing out time in her calendar to take part in the Dignity Gala, an event that will be happening thanks to the organization Redlight Traffic. Like mtvU's Against Our Will campaign, Redlight Traffic fights human trafficking.

The gala is taking place October 18 at the Beverly Hilton. Tix are expensive, but they're still available. If you're not in the area or can't afford tix (I feel ya), there are still other ways to get involved with the org. Redlight Traffic has an app that allows you to report human trafficking if you see it or suspect you see it. It's anonymous, and many people being trafficked are in closely guarded situations where they can't make reports themselves. Only one percent of trafficking victims get rescued, which is why it's so important to make reports if you suspect anything.

You can also spread the word about Redlight Traffic and donate. Beyond that, there are a number of different anti-human trafficking orgs and campaigns, like Against Our Will, GEMS, the Sophie Hayes Foundation and the Somaly Mam Foundation. Sophie Hayes, a trafficking survivor, recently spoke to MTV Act to give real info on what it's like to be trafficked, so that it's more about real people and less about numbers. A few years ago not many people were talking about human trafficking, but the cause continues to build. And with a influential name Demi Lovato getting involved, this will get more people joining the fight to end human trafficking.
