Lauren Conrad has been big in the news lately because of her engagement to bf William Tell. But we hope in the soon-to-be future the news will also be talking more about Lauren's new endeavor to help artistic women and their careers.
LC explained on her blog that she's launching a lil something called The Little Market. Products sold are made by female artisans in developing countries. In order for both countries and individuals to rise out of poverty, it's important that women make their own money. Lauren's letting these artists thrive in their artistic nature AND become autonomous individuals while they're at it.

"My bestie Hannah and I have been traveling all over the world to find local female artisans in the communities we've visited to sell their handmade products through our online store (remember my trip to India? That was for this project!)," Lauren blogged. "This new venture is something I'm very passionate about, and I hope you will love it too."
The Little Market store got started last week, and there are already items of various prices for you to buy. You can get things like accessories, baby clothes, and decor, with a promise of more cool items to come. When you buy items like these from women in developing nations, you're not just getting yourself a neat new object — you're helping empower women.
