We're about halfway through Domestic Violence Awareness Month, but domestic violence is an issue that happens year-round. If want to take part in this super important cause, you still have time to participate in the Do Something.org's Cell Phones for Survivors campaign!
The campaign is going on from now till November 21, all you have to do is donate old cell phones no one is using anymore. DoSomething gives you a shipping label so you can mail your phone(s) for free, and those phones are then refurbished and sold, and money goes to domestic violence programs.
We've seen a lot of different cell phones throughout the years. Like this one:

And our personal favorite --- this one:
And now is your chance to donate all those vintage not-so-smart phones to a great cause!
Every time you enter, be sure to snap a photo and say why you are participating. Tweet or Instagram your photo to @MTVAct + @dosomething and you'll be entered to win a duck phone signed by the cast of "Jersey Shore" (image below)!
So go ahead and spread the message!
And while you're at it, text everyone you know:
Every single minute about 24 people are abused by their partners, whether it's through sexual assault, physical abuse or stalking. If you've got an old cell phone, it might soon be replaced by an autographed duck phone . . . and it could help save a life.
