Remember when marathons involved...well...running?! Screw that!

Introducing the Color Run, otherwise known as the "Happiest 5K on the Planet!" The Color Run is the electro rave of charity marathons. It's an un-timed, 5-kilometer event in which participants are doused from head-to-toe in rainbows of powder. Color Runs are currently happening all over the nation, and each one gives back to a local charity. Organizers expect over 100 events and over 1,000,000 participants in this year alone!

So how do you get involved? Register for a Color Run near you, or nominate your charity as a local beneficiary. And if the New York marathon is your biggest nightmare, fear not! Your only goal going into the Color Run should be to come out looking like you were peed on by a unicorn…
